This summer, the kila kitu fresh family enjoyed the sunshine in Switzerland and took a short break to recharge. After a delicious fondue and sharing some fun holiday stories, we're now back in full swing and with a lot of new ideas.
We’re also kicking off the second kazi fresh with swiss participants this year. Two participants have already started their journey to Zanzibar. Despite their luggage arriving two days late, they’ve already started exploring their new surroundings. In the coming days, two more swiss craftsmen will join them. Over the next three weeks, they will work alongside Mwiyni and two other locals at the Mpendae Secondary School.
Meanwhile, work continued diligently in Zanzibar over the summer. We’ve already conducted two courses exclusively with local participants. It’s amazing to see the motivation and commitment they show in improving the conditions of their own schools.
One particularly gratifying result: we’ve now restored a total of 3'136 seats!
This means that thousands of students can now learn in a more comfortable environment, instead of sitting on the floor. We’re excited for more progress!
Stay tuned for more updates and success stories from kila kitu fresh! If you want to be a part of it, visit our website to learn more about our project and how you can get involved.
